Introduction to Project Management

Learn the basics of how to plan and control projects to a successful conclusion

Most people, no matter what their job, are involved in projects in some way. Whether they are managing a project, are part of a project team or have been asked to change an aspect of their job, understanding the practices and tools of Project Management is invaluable. It is also a useful skill in personal life, from planning weddings to house refurbishment.

This short course teaches participants how to plan and deliver projects and highlights the key success factors and pitfalls along the way.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define project scope, risks and resources using a charter
  • Formulate a plan to deliver the defined project scope
  • Set up basic control mechanisms to keep things on track
  • Identify key stakeholders and develop tactics to keep them engaged in the right way
